Each year we host a nine day festival in celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Tonight would have been the first night of our Novenario Procession. Since we can’t celebrate in person this year, we will be posting some thing each day honoring our nine day festival. And we hope you will join us for our very first Virtual Dia de los Muertos Celebration on Sunday, November 1st at 6:00pm. www.diadelosmuertos2020.com... #olverastreet #plazaolvera #dayofthedead #novenario #olverast #sugarmyskull #tradition #cultura #art #livingmuertos #vivalavida #altars #altares #ofrendas #diadelosmuertos #calaca #calavera #familyfriendly #virtualevent #stayhome #birthplaceoflosangeles #mydayinla #dtla #community #danzadelamuerte

#Repost @laluzdeldia1959 with @repostapp Hola everyone, We want to start by thanking each and every one of you who has supported us through this pandemic, and those who dined with us while following our health and safety guidelines. Your continued support throughout this process means the world to us. We truly have the best customers.... Unfortunately, due to spiking cases in LA county, we will be temporarily closed until further notice starting Monday, July 6th. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, stay tuned to our social media channels for updates. It has been a struggle down here on Olvera Street for all the merchants, and we hope with the support of our community and City family that we will see better days. We will get through this together and we can't wait to see you again. #dtla #elpueblo #placitaolvera #carnitas #since1959 #eaterla #tacos
