Just arrived! A mineral rich sinker mahogany @martinguitar D-14. This used custom shop dreadnought guitar has a Sitka spruce top and a two piece sinker mahogany back and sides. Sinker mahogany comes from logs that have been sunk/submerged in lakes or river beds for decades. These logs absorb the naturally occurring minerals in the water creating variations in color as well as patterns in the wood.
