TLCD has spent the past week listening to and learning from black voices from across this country as well as the passionate voices of our diverse staff. We stand together as a firm in protest against the systemic racism, brutality and oppression that has plagued black people and other people of color in our country for too long. As Architects, we recognize that the built environment has long been the backdrop for this struggle as well as the forum for engagement, activism an...d positive change. At its best Architecture can support and nurture racial and social justice and at its worst can further oppression. TLCD is committed to fight for racial justice in our community. We will do this by pushing for greater diversity and equity both within our own workplace as well as the architecture profession as a whole. We will use our collective voice to advocate for policies that put an end to the violence and injustice. And we pledge to give as a firm and as individuals to the vital organizations that are on the front lines of this movement.
TLCD combined forces with the AIA Redwood Empire, MakerNexus, and the Sonoma County Medical Association to fabricate Personal Protective Equipment for local medical providers. What a privilege to utilize our 3D printer and laser equipment during this time of need. Read the full blog post here: https://www.tlcd.com/helping-healthcare-workers-with-ppe/

Just a quick check-in from our team at TLCD Architecture. We’re all working remotely and fully operational. After a 30+ year tradition... we held our first virtual Wine Wednesday this week. It worked brilliantly and really lifted our spirits to see each other on screen. Best screen background of the week? Don... the virtual toilet paper hoarder! Stay safe and healthy.
