Hello Everyone - Here is an opportunity to help support the Oak Valley Middle School Music Program!!! Just a reminder that the OVMS music department has their a...nnual Gala concerts this week. Kids are super excited and would love to see you there. Tickets will be available at the box office for you the day of the concerts. All concerts will be at the California Center for the Arts Escondido. Wednesday 5/29/2019, 6:30pm, Choir and Orchestra Concerts. Friday 5/31/2019, 7pm, Band Concert. I can't tell you all the cool things Choir and Band have planned, but our orchestras have a lot of cool stuff in store. The 6th graders will be starting the concert (100+ on stage with 11 guest siblings from OVMS and DNHS) with 9th grade vocalist Flora Yuan. Then they will be performing the world premiere of a composition they created themselves (its REALLY good), and we will also be featuring a surprise faculty soloist! Yes, a hidden talent! The 8th graders will be 112 on stage with DNHS guests, OVMS Alumni, and parents of Alumni! They will also be featuring Flora Yuan as a vocalist, and I will be playing a double flute concerto with the orchestra. Playing music from the planets, Palladio, Capriol suite, Doppler, Phantom of the Opera and the Avengers. I hope you come and support our students!!! They are so excited and so am I! Let me know you're coming so I can come and say hello!!!

San Diego is drenched in live music this weekend! Check out North Park Festival of the Arts on Saturday May 11th! This is an all day FREE street festival on University Ave. and 30th. Many stages presenting...we’ll be closing the main stage outside the Observatory at 9pm!
