The Grand Deli

Post deli - Six days four hours, two snow falls, and one hundred and fifty miles on the John Muir Trail. I hooked up with two mountain men from Modesto, on the second day of the journey, which certainly pushed the pace. Fabulous country, great camaraderie, but, a broken body.

Mike, I had a serious break in my leg and was in the hospital at the end of August. My entire family, 3 generations, will miss you and are so sad that you close...d. We have gone to the deli since 1988 and it's a part of our life. Good luck to you, and know how our life will change without the Grand Deli. Drove by the other today and saw the place empty, my heart sank. I though it may be going through a renovation. Just did some reading online and I am very sad t...hat The Grand Deli is closing. Mike downs was a stand up guy and a professional. The staff was top notch in terms of service and I will really miss going there. Best wishes to everyone. See more
