As most insurance plans reset on January 1st, now is a key time to make sure you are getting the most value out of your health plan. If you’ve met your plan’s deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, most of your appointments should be fully covered or cost significantly less. If so, now is the time to schedule important screenings such as: - Mammography - Bone Densitometry (DEXA) - Low Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening... - Coronary Artery CT Calcium Scoring - Prostate MRI Remember, your health is essential, do not delay important imaging screenings and tests. www.RadNetImaging.com #RadNet #EssentialHealth #Radiology

This year more than ever it’s vital that we properly, and frequently, wash our hands to stop the transmission of harmful germs. Let’s all do our part to keep each other healthy. The CDC recommends following these five steps when washing our hands: 1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.... 2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails. 3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the Happy Birthday song from beginning to end twice. 4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water. 5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them. See more

3D Mammography is the state of the art mammogram technology that improves our ability to detect breast cancers. It has some distinct advantages over conventional 2D mammograms, most notably is its ability to create a 3D or volumetric image of the breast. If a 2D mammogram is like looking at the floor plan of a home, then a 3D mammogram allows you to open the doors and look inside, affording a more detailed evaluation. Dr. Jason McKellop

Happy National Coffee Day and World Heart Day! Did you know that habitual coffee drinking has been linked to a lower risk of coronary heart disease in women? A growing number of studies have found coffee linked to heart health, among numerous other benefits. Here are some benefits according to the American Heart Association.... * It gives you energy and may help you lose weight and sharpen your mental focus, thanks to the magic of caffeine. Studies have shown that caffeine may improve your mood, help your brain work better and improve performance during exercise. * A regular java habit is associated with a lower risk of Type 2 diabetes and Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, in one study, caffeine was linked to a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease. * Coffee is an excellent source of antioxidants, which may help protect cells from damage. * Higher consumption of coffee caffeinated and decaf alike was associated with a lower risk of total mortality, including deaths attributed to heart disease, nervous system diseases and suicide. Remember, what you add to your coffee makes a difference, too much cream and sugar can take away from the health benefits!
