We think we got over some of the "cons" with that method by making them programmed and contained to a portion of the game respectively. Also a fun fact - What the Food?! was deliberately made with actions that required no actual player response. Why? Because the game was developed ...to port to a mobile device (someday!) and you don't want a game where you play a card and wait. Then reply with a card and wait. The app version did make it to the tabletop, but then had to change the actions in other ways.
