For those who saw the Art of Palestine show, one memorable aspect of it was the beautiful traditional Palestinian embroidery pieces that were on display in the gallery. Here's a sampling of a few of the many striking murals in my neighborhood in downtown Oakland. The murals are painted on boarded up store fronts mostly along the Broadway corridor supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd.
