Have you seen these saffron ribbons hanging in your neighborhood? This around town installation by Artists Resist and Respond Together (ARRT) came together when the United State’s Covid death toll reached 100,000 last May. ... ARRT wanted to create a memorial. These ribbons have been hanging around town for months now, reminding us to grieve. As the ribbons dance in the wind, they also inspire us to mobilize. Sara Friedlander (ARRT)... This artwork, among others, will be featured in tomorrow’s section of our 'In These Uncertain Times' Virtual Gallery Talks. (Friday, 2/19) Join MAH staff and exhibiting artists at 6pm as we look at the ways local artists are using their practice to grieve, remember, and process the complicated emotions brought about over the last year.
