RLG's Scotch Fund is dedicated to helping cover veterinary costs for low income families as well as to help them purchase insurance for their beloved companions. The Scotch Fund was created in honor of Scotch Yu. Scotch was a puppy with an old soul. He was so gentle, sweet but also adorably rambunctious. All the doggos and humans he came across absolutely loved him. He may have chewed up many shoes, wall trimmings, bed risers, etc but he never misbehaved and was always so intuitive. A total empath. He even waited for our loved ones to rush over to say goodbye before he took his final breath. He is still so painfully missed. We are humbled to be a small part of Scotch's legacy and are excited to share some success stories with you soon.

Sheba is a beloved 11 year old German Shepherd who is currently imprisoned at the Devore animal shelter. For over a year Sheba has been kept in a small, 5x5 dark concrete cell where she has no bed or blanket to shield her from the cold hard floor, no toys to stimulate her and no interaction to help her cope with the isolation. Sheba has never been out of the cell and is deprived of any exercise. Her 81 year old owner, Jose Pepe Sanchez travels 40 miles three days a week to see Sheba, is allowed only 5 minutes for each visit and is denied physical contact with Sheba. The severity of these restrictions are causing unnecessary mental anguish resulting in physical harm to Mr. Sanchez and Sheba. Our clients took their cat, Kitty, for vaccines to Affordable Animal Hospital on Eagle Rock Blvd in LA. Dr. Adler was rushing, and they believe he did not give the shots carefully. Worse, no one informed them of any known dangers associated with feline vaccines. Several months later, they found a tumor at the injection site. The new vet our clients didn’t trust Affordable anymore told them it was Feline Injection Site Sarcoma, it had to come out, and it might return.... Apparently, a lot has been published about the risks of cancer from feline vaccines manufactured by Merck. But, our clients were told nothing. The cancer returned and had metastasized. Kitty has needed a lot of treatment, including chemo. She has had to have a leg amputated.
