River City Food Bank has reported a confirmed case of COVID-19. As such, management has implemented the following procedures: - Disinfected, sanitized and cleaned distribution sites per CDC guidelines; - Sent communications to all volunteers and staff who were potentially exposed; - Notified appropriate state and county officials; and... - Implemented wellness screening procedures for all staff and volunteers. In an abundance of caution, the Midtown site will be closed for distribution this week. We will be distributing food during our normal hours of operation at the Center at St. Matthew’s on Friday and Saturday from 10:30am 1:30pm. Our mission to alleviate hunger in the community is of the utmost importance, especially during the pandemic where so many families are needing emergency food assistance. We strive to keep all of our staff, volunteers and guests safe and healthy and will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates.
