The Regional Stay-at-Home Order has been extended in the San Joaquin Valley because ICU demand is expected to continue to exceed capacity during the next several weeks. The length of the Stay at Home Order will be determined based on four criteria: current ICU capacity, 7-day average case rate, transmission rate and rate of ICU admission. Police Department staff will reach out to you as they will be delivering items on the evening of December 22. The deadline for signing up and participating in the program is December 21.

Due to the Stay at Home Order which restricts non-essential activities and the recommendation from the Ripon Police Department we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel the Christmas Light Parade which was scheduled to happen this Thursday. We held out hope that the event could happen and even moved the location, but with the current restrictions in place there is no way to move forward. Merry Christmas and please stay safe this holiday season!

AS OF DECEMBER 5, 2020 Governor Gavin Newsom announced that all sectors other than retail and essential operations will close in regions of the State where less than 15 percent of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are available under a new Regional Stay Home Order.
