We collectively raised over $1,200 bucks for the Nordhoff Parent Association and Sunflower Bridge, while showcasing the talents and efforts of some of the best bartenders from the valley. All right everyone, final countdown! Elvis and Sam have spent many years working the bar together and have teamed up once more for the inaugural Libation Creation contest! Their cocktail, Behind the Bleachers brings the Ojai Valley to the tropics, with Opuntia, Wilder Gin, home made pineapple shrub, citrus and cilantro. Come try it at 5!

Kat Wilkins is a new face to the Ojai Bar scene. You’ll find her running the bar at Ojai Harvest, always bring new and interesting flavors to mix. Her cocktail Home on the Range uses both Opuntia and Strawberry brandy along with orgeat and allspice to bring a refreshingly complex cocktail for your palate. Come try it tomorrow at Azu at 5 pm!

Chances are that you’ve had a cocktail or two from these before! Rubén Salinas has honed is skills over the years at Los Caporales, becoming the authority on all things agave in the Ojai Valley. Megg Sicotte-Kelly has been in Ojai over many years and currently works the bar at The Vine, bringing an intense passion for all things craft cocktails. They’re channeling the fall season to bring The Basic Bee Sidecar to the inaugural Libation Creation, using persimmon brandy and pumpkin spice to the mix. Come visit them Sunday at Azu, 5-7 PM.
