Ketzev (kindergarten - grade 5) registration is open! https://congregationnetivotshalom.shulcloud.com//2020-21-r The La’bri-ut: To Our Health and Wellness curriculum will be the focus of Jewish studies for our Ketzev (kindergarten - grade 5) program. It is being developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic by a nation-wide think-tank of Jewish educators. The curriculum will focus on five Jewish values forming the basis of five core modules. There will be a ...take-home kit of materials to enhance the experiential learning and bridge at-home activities with online group mifgashim (meetings). Check out the video below for a brief introduction to the first unit of study: Sukkat Shalom, A Shelter of Peace. These modules complement a set of principles for caregivers of mass trauma victims, such as a pandemic. The caregivers are generally clinical professionals, but for the purpose of this curriculum, the definition has been expanded to parents, guardians, teachers, etc, who are helping children gain a sense of: safety, calm, self- and community-efficacy, social connectedness, and hope.
We stand with our neighbors and friends at the Way. #BLACKLIVESMATTER
