At the end of each year I decide to choose one word to be my focus and guidance for the upcoming new year and all of my goals. I wanted to choose something meaningful that would guide me through the year and be a compass throughout life’s many decisions, personally and professionally, and something that would encourage me to be the best version of myself. Much like all of my decisions, I leaned into my faith and through prayer asked for God to lead me through the process of ...determining what word would encompass my journey in 2021. In the most vivid and beautiful way, He lead me, through this Bible passage, to the word KNOWLEDGE. The Second Letter From Peter 1:5-8 For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add KNOWLEDGE; to your KNOWLEDGE add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love. These are the qualities YOU NEED and if you have them in abundance, they will make you active and effective in your KNOWLEDGE of our Lord Jesus Christ. So as I step into 2021, I choose to embrace the KNOWLEDGE I have gathered. To seek KNOWLEDGE of that I have yet to learn. To be the conduit of KNOWLEDGE instilled in those I serve. And most importantly to trust that the KNOWLEDGE and understanding of my journey as it unfolds in the coming year, was purposefully and wonderfully determined by ALL-KNOWING God our Father.
