Mars Bar is closed. Sunday night 8:11 pm 2 undercover inspectors said they came in. Saw DJ’s congregating behind the booth with no masks. Said they saw patrons standing next to their tables with no masks. Said people were congregating and dancing in front of the DJ booth. You know you guys that I’ve been up your ass about stay at your tables. Wear your masks. No congregating. Follow the rules. Please turn down the sound. On Sunday I told the DJ’s that the crazy neighbor... Jerry who lives at 59 Gilbert alley was double parked in front of mars bar. When I asked her if I could help her she screamed at me that she hates our music and she’s calling the city to get us shut down. It came through as an anonymous complaint. Now our cooks are out of work and we’ve lost thousands of dollars in both fresh food we just bought for the week and revenue. This sucks. We were doing our best to be compliant. @marsbarsf See more

People have asked about a special Mars Bar San Francisco Valentine’s Day Menu. With all the Covid and City of SF BS, I’ve designed the Anti-Valentine’s menu. First entree is Knife thru the Heart. Blackened cows heart burned to perfection served with an 8 butcher knife. Second entree is our Catfish. The fish on your plate will look absolutely nothing like the fish photo on the menu. The third entree is the Ghost. A simple white elegant empty plate with nothing on it th...at you sit there and stare at until satisfied. Our fourth entree will be the Pain in the ass , our famous Mars burger heavily infused with hot Habanero peppers. This will remind you tomorrow that maybe you should have pushed this dish away sooner rather than finish it! For dessert, we are offering a cube of dry ice topped with cherry liquor. When you lick it your tongue gets stuck to it. No explanation or further description required. On the brighter side, all the alcohol you can consume is included with these entree’s to further cloud your judgment. Buen Provecho! Please support our DJ’s who spend hours practicing, buy music and equipment and give their LOVE so we have the best times always. There is a big jar on the DJ booth.
