Clayton County Board of Commissioners selected Sparkle Adams, Veteran of the Month, November 2020. Sparkle, a United States Air Force retiree, is a leader in the Veteran community is Forrest Park, Georgia. She is the President of the Atlanta Metro Chapter National Associations Black Military Women. Her organization works with the Veteran’s Treatment Court, where she assign mentors to veterans in the program. Sparkle has also organized many veterans events including, visiting... veterans in nursing homes and honoring them, feeding homeless veterans and mentoring teens in the ROTC program. Ms. Adams is the founder and Executive director of the Walking in Authority Teen Council, she volunteers at her church. She has received multiple awards for her community service & leadership. Her goal is to assist women veterans to improve their lives and make a difference. In achieving her life long goal Sparkle has always gone above and beyond the call of duty and position in support of veterans, teenagers and her community. Join me and the Los Angeles Chapter NABMW in congratulating our Sister Chapter President, Sparkle Adams on her being selected Veteran’s of the Month. Congratulations Sparkle. See more

Casey Brown, is the winner of the 2020 Veterans Day Poster Contest. He is a Marine Corps Veteran who served in the infantry and was deployed to Iraq. Casey volunteered at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center and was hired by the Salt Lake City Fiduciary Hub as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration. Congratulations Casey, its a beautiful poster.
