Just in time for Halloween, Blumhouse TV and Amazon will unveil four psychological thrillers under the umbrella Welcome to the Blumhouse. Each of the four films comes from an emerging filmmaker of color or female filmmaker, making the series a showcase for fresh directorial talent ready to take genre films in exciting new directions. We are pleased to announce that our friends at DIFF will be hosting their 9th edition of the festival online from 29 Oct to 4 November this year and are live at online.diff.co.in. Heartiest Congratulations to IFFLA Alum, Karishma Dev Dube for winning a 47th Student Academy Award for her film BITTU, which is one of 18 winners out of 1,474 entries from 328 schools across the world. IFFLA Alum Shreya Dev Dube is the wonderful cinematographer for the film. BITTU was World Premiere on IFFLA's 2020 slate.

Mira Nair’s A SUITABLE BOY and Chaitanya Tamhane’s THE DISCIPLE are amongst the films featured in the lineup for the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) A Suitable Boy is the first screen adaptation of Vikram Seth’s international bestseller of the same name. Set in North India in 1951, it follows the coming of age of Lata (Tanya Maniktala), a spirited university student. Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Rasika Dugal, and Ram Kapoor also star in the six-part series. Chaitan...ya Tamhane’s second feature, The Discipline, examines a lifetime journey devoted to the art of Indian classical music. Netflix has acquired the Hindi-language indie sci-fi movie, CARGO, written and directed by Arati Kadav. Inspired by Indian mythology, Cargo is about a demon called Prahastha (Massey) who processes the dead for their rebirth.
