Meet Jessica Schatz! Jessica is our Scholarship Chair and a Board Member since 2020. This important role organizes the interviews, coordinates with the college and plans the award ceremony. #FODSD has awarded over $600,000 in scholarships since 2000, and has been the largest contributor of single scholarships to San Diego City College. Jessica broke out into Real Estate starting as a Marketing Director and Transaction Manager. While the Real Estate industry evolves to becom...e more innovative, so does Jessica in advocating for all clients and building deep relationships for lifelong business referrals. As she combines her long history in hospitality, marketing, and love for the industry, Jessica is a second-generation Real Estate Agent who commits herself to one guiding principle - treating all clients like family. These funds can pay tuition, buy books, help you with rent, purchase transportation...you name it! ... Our Scholarships are designed to help @sandiegocitycollege students achieve their education goals. 9/27 is the last day to apply!!!

Friends of Downtown was featured in the San Diego City College City Times newspaper. We currently have 80 applications for this cycle but we anticipate a few more applications as we approach the deadline. The publication of this article will probably help increase the number as well. That means 2 things - we need your help getting the word out to students to get their applications in TODAY and your donations are more important than ever!

With just a few months left this year, let’s take a look back at all that we were able to accomplish in 2019. We are in the final push to raise funds for our Scholarship Program - consider donating today!

Meet Stefanie O’Sullivan! Stefanie O’Sullivan joined #FODSD in 2019 and was thrilled to be named Member of the Quarter in Q3 2019. She began her term as Board Member in 2020. Friends of Downtown San Diego is a 100% volunteer organization means a lot to me. Our members and Board are passionate about our mission.
