Expressing your feelings and thoughts can be helpful for another, can help them find a path, can give them a smile, can help them develop an insight into their lives, and give them a helping hand by being there to help them process their emotional pain. I'm a therapist so i think in these terms. What is you why for writing?... #writing #writingtoheal #selfexpression See more

Writing helps us connect with history -- or at least history of humanity. Sounds a lot like Pre Covid, right. Here is an example -- The Procession of Gibran: The Illusory World Sage ... This world is but a winery, Its host and master Father Time, Who caters only to those steep'd In dreams discordant, without rhyme. For people drink and rase as though They were the steeds of mad desire: Thus some are blatant when they pray, And others frenzied to acquire. Few on this earth who savor life, and are not bor'd by its free gifts: Or divert not its streams to cups In which their fancy floats and drifts. Should you then find a sober soul Amidst this state of revelry, Marvel how a moon did find In this rain cloud a canopy.

Eleven He who stands on the tips of his toes cannot be steady. He who takes long strides will not maintain the pace.... He who displays himself is not enlightened. He who brags achieves nothing of worth. He who boasts will not endure. These people do not bring happiness. _______ my comments We are on the right path-- keep it steady. -- Universe bless us all -- amber

I'm sharing an excerpt from one of my favorite books, My Friend Fear by Meera Lee Patel, She tells her story of facing fear and making fear her friend. She asked herself several questions on her journey to befriend her fear: What am I afraid of?... Why am I afraid of it? What will happen if I don't? So what if you're alone? Aren't you alone now? Does your heart hurt? Aren't you still here? These questions call for significant deep & truthful introspection, but the results and insight and your new understanding of yourself is fabulous. It's the first step to get the courage to write. This is how we get into the writing mode especially when we are writing our memoirs, our adventure stories, or a fictionalized account of our life experience. It's also a great way to do the introspective work in healing anxiety-- which I teach. see you on the pages -- amber

Hi everyone, I loved writing a section of the chain story that Nancy is passing around. And it was fun writing a SIP article about COVID. Jump in and share your experience with COVID . I bet you found some good stuff coming your way in the journey.

A little note from the SIP (shelter in place) journal, President of FAW: So, Day 22 I am finding out just how true it is that those who are too busy are the most productive!... Since I am now in the at-risk category, and most experts recommend we self-isolate, as well as recommending to our family members to stay in other areas of the house to avoid one side or the other of the crisis, it is becoming harder and harder to get out of my rocker/bed/bathroom. The big excursion of the day is walking the dog. Weekly trip to early admission at grocers. Yard work beckons. Rake practically jumps into my arms. Ok, so I accidentally stepped on the tines, giving it that feeling of an unexpected hug... Ok! Did one row, is it time for a nap? YEP. I think this probably has something to do with inertia, maybe? Hey, I did manage to go on that super long, um, longish bike ride last week; or was that 2 weeks ago, already? Yeah, when I still had some semblance of strength left. You know, the one where I only used my pedal-assist part of the time, on the way, till I stopped at that duck pond, way down there...at least 3-4 miles...of flat ground. Then the migraine came on and rescue was required for the return trip. I mean, well, dinner was going to be ready! Oh, lunch? Seemed later. Thanks, honey, for the rescue. Maybe I’ll go not quite so far this time...bike looks fine. Weather looks good. (Yawn), maybe in a little while.
