Today is Sophia’s birthday and I know she doesn’t want me to go on and on about her preciousness or my love for her, but I can’t say happy birthday without telling you a little something about her. This won’t make you cry, but I hope you will appreciate how long Sophia has been at this business of serving others. Sophia was a very sweet and considerate child. Always thinking of others, wanting to serve them and make them happy. It was so important to her that when she was ju...st 4 years old she begged me to buy her a special bell and a server’s dress. The bell was for her patrons to ring and the dress with an apron, was for her to fit the part. She absolutely loved this outfit. When she wore it and we rang the bell to summon her to service she was joyous and radiated light from all sides. Today, she still wears an apron and she still gets a thrill when she hears the measuring spoons clank against the door alerting us to customers entering the shop to be served. Her audience has grown from family to friends to a much greater community. Sophia serves her artful masterpieces filled with some of the world’s truly greatest caramels. Her turtles are every day favorites and have quickly become weekly or special occasion traditions and her Apple Cider Caramel is up for a National award. For those of you who have tasted her Coffee Caramel Cocoa Nib Acorn bonbon you know this girl can wow! Please join me in wishing her a beautiful, peaceful and joyous birthday. Happy birthday Baby Girl! I love you, oh how I love you. You make my life great

It’s our Queen Bee’s birthday! What an amazing lady she is.. Jennifer excels at everything she does, and let me tell you, she does a lot! These past few years have been some of the hardest of our lives (for many reasons) yet she handles it all with such grace. I think everyday how lucky I am to have her and am amazed by what we’ve created together. Happy birthday Mom, I love you!
