Today, at Eskaton Village Carmichael, team members had the opportunity to wish Marian a happy 104th birthday! She was very excited to see the team at her door ready to celebrate! The plethora of balloons, a delicious cupcake and a birthday card brought a joyous smile to Marian's face. #AgeIsBeautiful

We had a beautiful fall day at Eskaton Village Carmichael!

Recently one of our generous Independent living resident made 15 dining scarves for our memory care residents, with a Thanksgiving print on one side and Chanukah or Christmas on the other. What a loving gesture and the residents look pretty happy with them!

We’re still reveling in the excitement of Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Once again Eskaton was awarded the Senior Cup as top fundraisers in senior living. We were thrilled to raise $28,403 in support of the mission of the Alzheimer's Association #EskatonImpact #Walk2EndAlz

At Eskaton Village Carmichael, residents are teaching other residents how to Zoom. It’s such a popular and sometimes necessary form of communication that a group of residents created a team so that everyone has the ability to connect with family, friends, committees and social groups. #seniorshelpingseniors #innovation #weareeskaton

Meet Chaplain Arlene! Chaplain Arlene Lockett received her chaplaincy from Mosaic Church in Rocklin, California in 2015 after her husband of 55 years passed away that same year. A mother of four children, Arlene started her faith journey as a Bible Study Fellowship student in 1965, and was a small group leader for many years with BSF. She has participated in the Alpha program by Nicky Gumbo, and has taught an Old and New Testament Bible course at church. She feels that servin...g as a chaplain and praying with people has been a wonderful experience and looks forward to ministering to the residents at Eskaton once again. Meet Chaplain Robert! Robert Mitchell has been a chaplain and spiritual care volunteer with Eskaton since 2016. A retired police sergeant who spent 26 years with the Pacifica Police Department, Robert is also an integral part of Eskaton’s No One Dies Alone (NADA) program and an enthusiastic volunteer with the Telephone Reassurance program. Graduating from the Church Compassion Team Chaplaincy, he has served as a spiritual care volunteer for Kaiser Hospital Roseville and as ...an ordained associate pastor for Highlands Christian Church in Rocklin. In addition, Robert also participates in the Alpha and Grace to Grow prison ministry programs at Folsom State Prison. As a chaplain for Eskaton Village Roseville and Eskaton Village Carmichael, he considers it a true blessing to be able to serve the older adults of our region. Starting this week, he will conduct weekly Sunday services from 2:00 3:00 pm for the memory care neighborhood at Eskaton Village Carmichael. #spiritualcare #seniorliving #weareeskaton
