Thank you for the support and well wishes for the loss of sweet Rafa, a loved co-worker who has been a part of the Dukes family since 1991. His smile will be everlasting. Many have asked if there is a Go Fund me page to help his family with Funeral costs, so I wanted to share his page with you.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our sweet Rafael G, 'Rafa', on 7/16. He was a staple of Dukes, working here since 1991. Rafa always had a smile and worked tirelessly to please. He was the family Patriarch, uncle, brother and friend. We have loved him in life, let us not forget him. Our deepest sympathy for his family, our heart breaks for you and all that you are enduring during this sad time.

Dukes Griddle &Grill Out of an abundance of caution we have voluntarily closed the restaurant. We have had 1 employee test positive who last worked Saturday 6/21. We are not required to close but have voluntarily done so for the safety of everyone. We have required all our employees to go get tested. Reports have been made that several restaurants have reported to the city of employee’s testing positive. We do not know which restaurants they are. The City says we can continue to operate since we have taken all pre-cautions necessary and required, but we will remain closed until all our employees get their results. For Those of you who knew our beloved Joyce Raffa, we will be having a Celebration of Life for her, here at Dukes from noon to 2pm on Wednesday June 17th. Come share cheer and stories. Wednesday June 17th, The restaurant will be closed until 3pm.

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our co-worker and friend Joyce Joy Raffa. Joy passed away 5/28/2020. Joy has been part of our Dukes Family for 5 years and familiar face in the Pierpont community. Joy will be missed. Many of us have been touched by her in many ways. We will miss the conversations and opinions of our Joy. A celebration of life will be held, details to come.

YIPPEE. We are Opening for Dine-In Today at 11am. Dear Dukes Customers, We are implementing new sanitation guidelines. We ask that you bear with us and respect our attempts to keep our guests as well as our employees safe. SOME GUIDELINES... - Capacity will be limited to seated customers only. - No bar seating. - No gatherings in groups. - Some tables will be spaced out to ensure they are 6 feet apart. - Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the restaurant. - Face coverings are required to be seated. Face masks must be worn when entering & exiting the restaurant and any visit to the restroom. -All parties must be present to be seated - Tables will have a limit of six guests at a time. -Caddies, paper towels and condiments will be removed from all tables. Single use salt & pepper, mustard, ketchup and wrapped straws will be brought out for use upon request. -Pens used for signing credit card receipts will be also be sanitized after every use. -We have removed several tables and have our seating spread out six feet apart. We pivoted from being a successful local family Dining Restaurant to curbside pickup & Take Out Restaurant. We made changes almost every day to meet the pandemic rules for keeping us all safe. Yesterday The Governor’s office reversed the status and now, just before the Memorial Day holiday the start of California summer we received notice that we can be open as an I...n-House Dining Restaurant again. Dukes Griddle n Grill CARES about our customers and our co-workers we want some time to open safe and smart. It takes time to keep you and all of us safe. 2020 Memorial Day Weekend Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Dukes will work as follows. 1. We will NOT be open for In-House Dining restaurant service this Memorial Day weekend. 2. We will continue to make delicious food for take out and picked up during our business hours. 3. We will be opening SAFELY soon and will keep you, our dear and LOYAL customers, fully in-the-know about all that we are doing. 4. We still depend on your Takeout support.
