Art books at the good source of aspiration.

With the clouds of pandemic circling over every area on the planet, the expectations of many enterprises have been thrown down the bridge. Similarly, artists and gallerists are made to bow down to Covid-19, forcing them to shut down their creativity and visions. As the world is finding its way to do stuff through the means of the internet, the art aficionados, such as ourselves, are still not convinced with the method. Art deserves to be venerated and it will surely not be plausible without an audience. It surely is a perplexing situation. The question is will virtual shows continue? Will skill appreciation be limited to a few messages and emails? Will exhibitions be restricted to lonely frames and empty rooms? Will art survive corona? Friday! What book do you read now?

This is the last post about Agatha Christie. I wish that we can meet offline in the book club and learn more about her! I hope soon! Anyway I wanted to mention the fact that Agatha was born before the first world war in 1890 and died in 1976. That means that she saw so many changes in women's everyday life. She grew up in a family with very strong traditions. Her grandmother and mother had kind of the similar lives. They both got married , haven't worked, kept care of the family, and haven't had many choices. Agatha had a very different life. She had a profession, she was married more than once, she could choose to write a book or travel. She was a brave person to make the first steps in independent women life.

Agatha Christie collected her characters from early childhood, way before she decided to write books. She noticed some specific traits of the people around and collected them in her head. For example, her grandmother was the person who expected the worst from anybody. After she learns more about a person she usually recognizes positive things about it. This way she never was disappointed by other people. From similar things, Agatha created characters and lated a story with them. In her writer carer, when she finished a book she returns back into her memories and pull the right ones and make a new story with them. This way Hercule Poirot, Jane Marple and others are so real! @ Downtown Books, Art Gallery and Custom Framing
