Gold plated pins can be better with rust and reducing contact resistance. My Answer We have specific tube that are manufactured as matched premium quality tubes that come with only with gold plated pins, as an example our Nature Sound or Psvane matched sets. So a set of good JJ tubes may not be worth the extra cash if the only difference is the gold plating or standard non plated pins. Gold plated pins can be better preventing corrosion, rust and reducing contact resistance. Do you want a more hi fi sound? Do you need to pay more hard earned cash over a standard tube that works fine? Do you need a tube that will perhaps outlive you or your amp? Our Blues 15/30 is a gain monster, meaning you turn the gain knob and you will hear natural tube crunch overdrive. This amp has two channels clean and driven the pre amp tubes effect both channels. If you want less gain and more clean headroom then our Gold Nature Sound 12AT7-T Matched Shu Guang tubes or our JJ Au7 Gold matched tubes will be well worth considering as an option. We match all tubes in house both premium and standard tubes.

I get feedback from some guys and gals that our 3x3 headstock is not attractive or as some have said lame. Well here is my polite answer. I welcome all comments but please don’t say use a Fender or Gibson head.. If I did I may end up in court. Our Bootlegger head design is as much function as it is form. As a race car builder, driver I understand that any angle or bend can be a point of weakness under stress. We run brake lines and fuel lines with as little bending as possib...le. The same works with guitar strings the straighter from the tuning post to the nut means less stress on strings and strings hold tuning and resonate better. We only build with graphite nuts, along with our head design this is best possible pro setup for your guitar. Our Bootlegger neck is best compared to a PRS JM shape, Fender modern C shape or a Gibson Slim Taper D shape for feel and playability. It is by far the most easy and recognizable shape for guitar players across the board. It delivers that vintage feel with a modern twist to keep it relevant and functional for guitar players playing any genre of music. I removed the Gibson on head. So left head is a Gibson right Bootlegger
