Also on display @loislambertgallery Chris Fraticelli Titles of work in order- Blue Interrupted, 34"H x 17 W x 14D. Buddah’s revenge, 47 12 H x 16 W x 16 D. Where Clowns Come From , 11H x 10W x 14D. ... Fraticelli transforms the endless supply of decorative mass-produced ceramics into metaphorical mosaic sculptures commenting on contemporary society. In Chris’s travels, he gathers broken, and sometimes even whole ceramic figurines and statuary to break and reassemble into themed sculptures. He is inspired by urban decay and maximalist design. The pieces began their lives in a pristine environment and are purposely damaged and birthed into a new reality meant to inspire awe, witticism, and questioning. These sculptures work on several levels: the visual, the comical, the emotional and the political. Fraticelli harnesses the chaos of the broken ceramics by giving them new life and meaning. Chris Fraticelli is a self-taught artist who started creating found object sculptures as a child working with his Grandpa Louie, a coal miner by trade, but whose avocation was art and found object sculpting. Fraticelli has worked as an artist for 20 years. In January 2019, the California Heritage Museum gave Chris his first solo exhibition. He is currently exhibiting at the Lois Lambert Gallery @ Lois Lambert Gallery & Gallery of Functional Art

Currently on exhibit at at @loislambertgallery Sebastian Boni Titles of works in order: Love is Back in Town 23.6"x11.8", The Daughters Room 33.4"x13.8", Across the Ocean 41.3"x16.9"... Colour Dialogues is strongly influenced by Sebastian Boni’s work as an architect. Some of his past projects were starting points for this conceptual study. At the root of this series is the visual perception of architectural objects made of multiple overlapping layers of different materials such as: translucent glass or plastics, glass with silk-screened textures applied directly on the slabs or featuring treated surfaces that create particular visual effects. In most cases, the visual effects of the translucent surfaces are intentionally the result of a design, but sometimes it happened as a wonderful unexpected result, says Boni. Light is the vital element in Colour Dialogues. The flow of colors generate a vast range of gradients and shades. They contain all of the emotional components springing from the effects obtained through successive interposition of several layers of material. The space between these layers of material determine the dynamic impression of the relationships between colors. Boni was born and raised in Rome. He graduated high school from the first artistic high school, Liceo Artistico - Alessandro Caravillian, in 1985 and graduated from Universitá Degli Studi di Roma - La Sapienza - Facoltá di Architettura in 1992 with a degree in architect. Boni has participated as an architect and product designer in multiple exhibitions in Rome. Boni is a member of the Roman Architectural Association. This is his first exhibition in the United States. @ Lois Lambert Gallery & Gallery of Functional Art
