Hello everyone! We’ve gotten quite a few new friends so I would like to do a re-introduction to everyone! ... I’m Ashley. Mother to Vivian, wife to Travis, and co-owner of the F/V Sandy B on Woodley Island. It’s been a long dream of ours to start a fish business, but did not go all in until last year. We originally wanted to sell our fish when quickly we realized we needed to help other fishermen too. At our shop with every pound of seafood sold you supporting a captain and his/her crew. We work with around 5 or more fishermen/aqua farmers every week. Small beans compared to the big wigs. But if those 5 plus fishermen/aqua farmers I know them personally. I know their families and they tell me their stories. My team and I take those stories and share them with all of you coming into our shop and all of our pop up locations. On behalf of me, my family, our crew, and our fleet we thank you for your support of our small local businesses. You may ask yourself how can I help? You can help by liking, sharing, and helping us spread the word throughout Humboldt County and beyond. You can shop our store, swing by our markets or source our docks for the freshest catch available. You can ask your grocery store to source from us. Here at Ashley’s Seafood we promise to know your captain and their catch, source from sustainable fishing practices, and of course help you with fun ideas for dinner. We hope you enjoy our content, follow us as we grow, and come see us at the shop when we reopen for crab season (which should be announced soon).
