The Academy SF at McAteer High School

Happy Holidays to all students, families and staff! The last week of the semester included finals, a barbecue for all students when finals were over, and a staff dinner! We also donated over 400 pounds of clothing, shoes and blankets thanks to the annual student-led clothing drive! Have a great break and see you back in 2020!

Moments from last week's Latino Heritage Assembly! The show was put together entirely by students and featured dances, videos and speakers. The photos here include the Latinx Unidos Club that organized the event, student dancers performing, and still shots from a video interviewing students about their heritage.

Academy students are hype about the new cafeteria! Fresh delicious food prepared right here on campus! Special shout out to Josh Davidson, the head chef, who spent time last spring meeting with students to get their input on the menu!

Hey Academy fam! Just want to share these two awesome after school opportunities for students coming to us through Susy in the Wolf Den! 1. A free after school workshop to create a resume and develop your interviewing skills! Thursday, October 24th from 3:30 to 5 in the Wolf Den. 2. Learn about jobs and internships in the Green Economy through the "Roots of Success" program. Earn a $400 stipend for participating twice a week after school October 21st to December 4th! Check out these two flyers for details, and come through and ask Susy for more information or an application!
